CANDIES is an acronym for Child Adolescent Neuro-Developmental Interventional Educational Series.
On October 17, 2009, the Brokenshire Child And Adolescent Neuro-Developmental Center – Pediatrics Department of Brokenshire Memorial Hospital conducted CANDIES Lecture 3 with the theme: “New Developments in CANDEV: Genetics, Learning Disabilities and Behavior Management”. It is the third lecture since the establishment of the Center about ten years ago, the CANDEV housed then at the present Pedia Wing of the hospital until the inauguration in 2006 of a new two-storey edifice which is now the home of CANDEV. |

The over-all purpose of the Brokenshire Resort & Convention Center is becoming a venue for social, educational, cultural, physical, and spiritual undertakings.
On October 19, 2009 led by Davao City Tourism Officer Mr. Rizal Giovanni Aportadera and UCCP Conference Minister Rev.Ariel Baladjay the BRCC dedicated its Bahay Kubo to showcase the rich, diverse Philippine cultural heritage. The Bahay Kubo, considered the native house of the Philippines and symbol of national shelter is made up mainly of bamboo. The entrance posts are painted with Davao’s marks of the Philippine eagle, the exotic durian, waling-waling orchid and indigenous tribes. On the ceiling are pictures depicting the Filipino culture of bayanihan or communal spirit as well as Filipino dances, festivals and images of indigenous people. All over the bulwagan or hall are native decors and furnishings distinctively Filipino plus a calesa mounted beside the entrance. |

 Every year during the third or fourth week of October, the Brokenshire Community Health & Development Center (BCHDC), one of the ministry components of the Brokenshire Integrated Health Ministries, Inc. (BIHMI) holds its annual community week celebration. The event is aimed to unite all stakeholders and partners of BIHMI-BCHDC to honor and acknowledge the goodness of the Almighty God; to learn and fellowship with one another upholding growth-unity-teamwork; to invite individuals and organizations to become partners who will support the community health and development programs of BIHMI-BCHDC. |

 Brokenshire Woman Center Building The Brokenshire Integrated Health Ministries celebrates its 101st founding anniversary on July 15, 2009. The theme of the celebration is “Worship and Fellowship: Strengthening Unity in the Workplace.”One of the highlights of the occasion is the blessing and inauguration of its latest project – the Brokenshire Woman Center (BWC). The BWC becomes the hub of the Brokenshire Memorial Hospital’s outpatient services for women healthcare including diagnostics, consultations & counseling, and education & development undertakings managed by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The fertility Care Center – Davao will also be relocated in this building. |
